National Jute Board Grass Court Tennis Championships 2011

The National Jute Board Grass Court Tennis Championships 2011 took place from 27th February to 5th March 2011 on Calcutta South Club. National Jute Board had forwarded their support by sponsoring the tournament.

Calcutta South Club had agreed to host this event, which would be a major boost for talented players of the country and would enable them to secure valuable AITA points besides a chance of being crowned the National Champion.

The tournament was guided by the "All India Tennis Association".

Men's Singles Finals : Krishna Suresh (AP)(6) beat Asutosh Singh (Dli) 6-4,7-6(7-1).

Women's Singles Finals : Kyra Firdaus Shroff (Mah)(3)(WC) beat Aishwarya Agarwal (MP)(Q) 6-4,6-1.

Women's Doubles Finals : Ankita Raina (Guj) & Rishika Sunkara (Dli) beat Shivika Burman (WB) & Kyra Shroff (Mah)(1) 6-3,0-6,10-7).

Men's Doubles Finals : Sunil Kumar Sipaeya (Chd) & Prahlad Srinath (Kar) beat Abhijeet Tiwari (Cg) & Akash Wagh (Mah) 7-6(7-4),7-6(7-5).

ITF Men's F2 Futures 2011 ($15000)

It is the Pride of Calcutta South Club to declare that International Tennis Federation (ITF), the world body for professional tennis had allotted their prestigious Men's International Tennis Tournament to our Club. The tournament will be held at our famous Club from 21st to 26th March,2011 at the clay court at day light. Players both from national & International repute took part in this event.

Results:

Men's Doubles Finals : Divij Sharan & Vishnu Vardhan (2) beat S. Narayanswamy & Ashutosh Singh (3) 7-6(7-1),7-6(7-5).

Men's Singles Finals : Adam Kellner (Hun)(1) beat Roko Karanusic (Cro)(5) 6-3,6-1.
